Pat MacDonald

Pat MacDonald had success early in his career the group Timbuk 3 and the song “The Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades.” Today he has developed a bluesy acoustic sound that is gripping, eerie and immediately appealing.
MacDonald lives calls both Barcelona, Spain and Sturgeon Bay, WI home and his most recent recordings were released by the German label ulfTone Music, so they are hard to find in the states. But, they are worth seeking out.
You can usually find them at his live shows. He’s playing two shows in Madison: May 20 at the Slipper Club and May 26 at the Indie Cafe and at The Highbury in Milwaukee on May 27.
