Making sense of it all

I know, it's hard for a lot of you. But you all have to come to grips with this. Chris Daughtry is not going to be your American Idol.
Yes, it's hard to believe. He seemed like he was poised to take it. Simon liked him. Randy liked him. Paula loved him. He had a huge fan base. The stars he worked with went on and on about his abilities as a performer.
But, no matter how you slice it, Chris is on his way home.
Just remember, it's going to be OK.
Taylor is still in it. Elliot is still in it (even though he seemed like the dark horse in the running until the last couple of weeks). Katharine is still in it.
And Ace is still sitting somewhere in Colorado, eating granola instead of stinking up the stage.
People. America. It's going to be fine. Even though it doesn't seem like it right now, the world will go on.
So get up. Hang your tear-soaked pillow out to dry. Grab yourself a cup of extra-strong coffee and greet this gray, miserable day with a big smile.
Chris is going to get a record deal. He will have a single. He will be on the American Idol tour. And you will be OK.

The morning show anchor from the Local Fox station wept on the air this morning.
I'm not kidding.

Really? Wow. I know people liked him, but that seems a little ... over the top.

Yeah, this is just a guy who was singing. Unjustified tears! Well, it was a FOX station. Fair and Balanced.
