Justin Timberlake may have tried to bring sexy back, but Britney Spears brought more prying eyes. When she’s not attracting the attention of paparazzi, Spears is getting massive amounts of attention on the Web.
On Tuesday, Yahoo announced that Spears had landed on top of its most searched list.
One might jump to the conclusion that Spears’ recent exposures on the Web would have put her over the top, but company officials said the “singer” behind “Oops, I Did It Again,” had the title locked up long ago.
Spears was followed by WWE and Shakira.
And, in a strange snapshot of American culture, Anna Nicole Smith and the death of Steve Irwin topped Yahoo’s news searches.
